Inspired by leading Indian restaurants and the beautiful Warwickshire countryside, Mr. Jagdeep Sohal has united with an experienced team of Punjabi chefs to serve vibrant dishes to public connoisseurs on the bank of the River Avon. In accordance with the scenic location, his restaurant has retained many of the original features it possessed as a public house. The result is an intimate atmosphere and a memorable dining experience.

Inspired by leading Indian restaurants and the beautiful Warwickshire countryside, Mr. Jagdeep Sohal has united with an experienced team of Punjabi chefs to serve vibrant dishes to public connoisseurs on the bank of the River Avon. In accordance with the scenic location, his restaurant has retained many of the original features it possessed as a public house. The result is an intimate atmosphere and a memorable dining experience.

The contemporary Punjabi menu offers food to suit every palette. An array of spices that have been imported from their original source and the chefs€™ personal culinary expertise have been utilised to provide each individual customer with an authentic taste of India.

Punjabi cuisine itself originates from the North West region of the continent, east of Pakistan. The area is known as €˜the land of milk and honey€™ today, reflecting the way it differentiates from typical Indian food through its integration of dairy produce. Either milk, yoghurt, lassi, paneer, makhan or ghee feature in Punjabi dishes, giving them a rich and creamy taste that is guaranteed to impress.

22. RiverCross Special  HO  
We proudly present this dish, bearing our own name as we are sure it will delight. Loosely based on a shashlick, your own choice of either chicken, lamb or king prawns are cooked separately with a selection of vegetables in our tandoor clay oven. Meanwhile the medium spiced tomato based sauce is prepared with generous helpings of garlic, ginger and peppers, only joining up with the meat prior to serving.

A true array of flavours, this dish features a white fish native to the East Indian coast line. With crunchy green peppers and onions, and a hint of green chilli, this tomato based sauce is finished with a crisp fresh lemon. A mouth watering dish, this medium with a €˜ kick €˜ sauce is drier than most so as to compliment the delicate fish.

32. Dhakeswari   Fresh coriander adds a zing to this mild, creamy dish of almonds and coconut.
33. Garlic Chilli  This hot dish sings with the flavours of garlic and a fresh hint of chilli.

We are pleased to offer The RiverCross as a venue for any up and coming special occasions. We are able to provide the restaurant (up to 70 seats) during the day for Birthdays, Aniversaries or other occasions. There are two packages available starting from £13 per person. If you are joining us for a special occasion be it a birthday or an anniversary, if booked with a few days notice we will be happy to provide some decorations on your table for you to enjoy. To make that occasion, extra special, and who knows you might leave with a gift from us too...
